Kate Weiland (she/her/hers) is the Communications Associate at APIAVote. In this role, Kate spearheads digital content initiatives to amplify the voices of AAPIs and educate communities about their voting rights.

 

Kate is from Irvine, California and holds a dual B.A. in English and Sociology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Prior to joining the APIAVote team, she worked in the nonprofit sector, at Partnership for Public Service and American Civil Liberties Union, as well as in government, at the U.S. Department of Justice. She has a strong passion for uplifting the voices of underrepresented communities and upholding democratic values. Outside of the office, Kate can be found exploring local bookstores and running through different neighborhoods in the City.
