Ambassador Program

Apply to be part of the next cohort of APIAVote’s Youth Ambassador Program!

We are recruiting AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) student organizations, and student leaders who work for/with AAPI student services or cultural centers,  Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-serving Institutions (AANAPISI) programs, and Asian American Studies Programs to join our upcoming cohort. The Ambassador Program trains and supports AAPI students and organizations to develop and implement a voter engagement program on their campuses and local communities through regular webinars, in-person training, one-on-one advising, technical assistance, and operational funding. APIAVote’s Ambassador Program’s goal is to build power for AAPI youth on college campuses by nurturing AAPI leaders who organize and activate their AAPI communities, both on and off campus, to increase their civic participation.

Ambassadors are critical to building effective volunteer teams to conduct voter registration drives, voter education and get-out-the-vote programs, planning activities for National Voter Registration Day and other civic holidays, engaging their campus community on current AAPI topics, and establishing sustainable civic engagement programming on campus.

We are accepting applications on a rolling basis.

If you have any questions or inquiries – feel free to contact youngvoters@apiavote.org

Join the Ambassador Program and look forward to:

  • Awards and funding to your student organization.

  • Mentorship in voter engagement through regular webinars and training, online hangouts, personalized advising, resources, and more.
  • Joining a national network of AAPI student leaders dedicated to APIAVote’s mission.

Internship Opportunities

We are looking for college-aged undergraduate students, recent graduates or high school students who can demonstrate that they seek to gain hands-on experience in grassroots community development within a national organization. The APIAVote Internship Program strives to encourage and cultivate young AAPI student leaders to explore a career in the public sector or the political arena. This internship program will also provide hands-on experience and training on how to organize and implement voter activities to increase the participation of AAPIs in the electoral process.
