Absentee (Mail-in) Voting

You do not need a reason or excuse to vote absentee in Georgia, anyone may request an absentee ballot.

To request an absentee ballot, you’ll need:

• A completed Absentee Ballot Application. Download application here >>
• Your address, and 
• Date of birth, and 
• the county where you are registered,  
• and one of the following
  • the number for your driver’s license or free state ID, or 
  • the last four digits of your Social Security number, or 
  • If you don’t have a driver’s license, state-issued ID, or your Social Security number on file with the voter registration system, you can upload a photo of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows your name and address.

You can submit your request for an absentee ballot as much as 78 days before the election. Your request must be made at least 11 days before the election. (Hospital patients have an extra day to apply.)

Early Voting 

Georgia voters have three weeks before Election Day for early voting, including two Saturdays. Your county can also offer voting on Sunday. Runoffs have a shorter period for early voting. You can vote at any early-voting location in your county. Find a list of sites in your county below.
